Pierre Menard's parents' farm over 20 hectares of old Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc, which they sell to the local cooperative. Seeing the incredible potential of his parents' vineyards, some of them planted as early as 1920, Pierre started to farm a small parcel himself, following biodynamic principles. Pierre made his first wines in 2013. Already, this inaugural vintage received great critical acclaim.
This sweet wine from Chenin Blanc began its journey when beautiful botrytis settled over the Quart des Noels and Clos des Mailles vineyards in late fall. 6 harvest lots were assembled to achieve "cosmic" harmony. Spontaneous fermentation in steel and glass containers. Biodynamic farming includes the use of herbal teas for plant protection. Teas are made from horsetail, nettle, yarrow, wicker, dandelion, chamomile, and fern. Careful manual harvest throughout October.
