Passo delle Tortore, a winery from Irpinia, originates from an idea of four young entrepreneurs from the south and a very young winemaker trained among the vines of "historic" France. The turtle doves, a symbol of love, family, and fidelity to the earth and to nature, have been the inhabitants of this area for many years.
The grapes come from a small plot of high hills, in the Montefusco area. The fresh, tuffaceous soils characterize a wine of great structure, complexity, and marked minerality. The low yield per vine gives rise to a fresh, elegant white wine with notes of apricot jam, yellow peach, and cinnamon. After a few years, the bouquet becomes more complex, developing pleasant notes of ginger and elderflowers.
